The Historical Archives of the European Union and the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies organize the Europe in the Archives, Europe in the Future Conference, organised by the Academic Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES) in collaboration with the European University Institute. The conference is scheduled for Thursday 12 (14:00-19:00, Villa Salviati) and Friday 13 October (10:00-13:45, Villa Schifanoia).
The Conference will bring together both academics and archivists to examine the last 50 years of European Studies and UK-EU relations. The discussion will tackle several topics, amongst which “Using archives for historical research on the EU”, “Britain and the EU in the archives”, “The changing relationship between the UK and the EU”, and “The future of European Studies”.
This event will also mark the 50th anniversary of the UACES as the UK hub for European studies.
